The 2002 & later Raptor has a few big changes which make the tranny
not only stronger, but will add better gear ratios!
If you've had a 2nd gear failure, you can see the reason in
the photo below:
The top gearset is the old style, with only 3 dogs on the 4th
gear slider (actually, only two on this one - the third's broken off!).
The lower gearset is from the 2002 model, with 4 dogs. A much stronger
setup!
Below is a parts list of everything you'll need to complete
this conversion.
