SHIPPING
PARTS TO US
| 1. CALL US:
Prior to shipping anything not listed in our regular lineup of
products. You don't need to call when shipping cranks, etc. for
stroke work or other modifications listed here in our catalog.
|
| 2. CLEAN PARTS: Save
money by removing gaskets and completely cleaning your parts prior
to shipping. |
 |
| 3. BAG PARTS: Place
every part in a plastic bag and seal it. Parts which are not bagged
are difficult to clean (see picture at right). |
 |
| 4. ENCLOSE A
PACKING LIST or
a copy of your online sales order. If you are returning a core, send
a copy of your invoice, or include a note with the invoice number.
Any returns (besides cores) require a return authorization number.
Call us at 541-923-1290 for an RA number. Write this number on
the outside of the box. |
| 5. WRAP PARTS: Wrap
each item separately in bubble wrap, foam, or sheets of newspaper.
Take special care with crank assemblies, as they have a tendency to
break through boxes. |
 |
|
6.
BOX PARTS: Heavy items like crank assemblies require double
boxing. Inside box should be at least 1" smaller on each side than
the outer box. Inner box fill should be newspaper or bubble wrap (we
don't recommend foam p-nuts here). Fill the space between the
two boxes with foam p-nuts, newspaper, etc.
Pack all boxes tightly to avoid shifting and damage.
Sending a
crankshaft with other parts? Put the crank in one box, the
other parts in a separate box. Put both boxes in the larger
outer box.
Unsure if
it's packed right? Imagine setting the box on a kitchen
counter and pushing it off. If it can survive this, it's
packed properly! |
 |
| 7. INSURE: Be certain to
insure the package for replacement value. Shipping companies
do not pay insurance claims on damaged items which are poorly
packed. It is up to you to ensure your parts get to us in good
condition.
Photo at right shows three expensive parts thrown
together in a box with very little packing material. All three
were damaged, and the insurance claim was denied due to poor
packaging. |

8.
SHIP: Powroll recommends UPS and Fed Ex for anything over 5 lbs
and worth more than $100. For lighter and less expensive
items, USPS is fine. Be sure to use the correct address.
If you ship by USPS to our physical address your package can be
delayed up to 2 weeks or more. |

CORES
info on returning a core for credit.
Cores sent in for credit or refund must meet
Powroll’s standards before any credit will
be given.
ROCKER CORES: Rockers with damage to the
shaft area are not acceptable.
CAM CORES: Scoring on the lobes is
acceptable. Cam cores with any journal area damage, or damage to the
timing sprocket holder are unusable as cores. If bearings were included on
the Powroll cam, your core must also have the same bearings for complete
credit. Cores must be returned within 60 days. A copy of the original
invoice must accompany all core returns, or there will be a $5.00 document
search fee deducted from the credit. Call before sending a damaged core.
